All Praise is to Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, and blessings be upon the most luminous of all creation, Prophet Muhammad, Salalahu Alayhi Wa Salam.

We are living in a time in which we have many obligations and requirements as Ummah:

• The first obligation on us is to learn, understand and communicate the most precious teachings of our Deen; Islam. In addition to learning we need to create a roadmap to apply these teachings in our individual and collective life.

• The second obligation is to share the treasures of Islamic teachings and values to the rest of the world and to create a dialogue with them to clarify their misunderstandings and fears regarding implementations of Islamic values in its true spirit.

• The third obligation is to correct ourselves and implement Islamic values in each and every affair of our lives in a way so that they become manifest in our thinking, attitudes, personalities, and daily life dealings.

• The fourth obligation is to establish  institutions that design and provide some models to Muslim community in general and to our Muslim Youth in particular which help them in transforming Islamic teachings and Islamic values of peace and justice into the “realty of life” for the mankind.

• The fifth obligation is to link knowledge and ideology in a way so that it results in the formation of a society on the basis of balanced Islamic teachings. This includes connection between individual and the society on the basis of moral values, justice and respect for law, mutual cooperation in good and concept of accountability on the Day of Judgment.

AL-FAUZ Institute of Islamic Thought is being established to fulfil all these duties and obligations as a part of Muslim Ummah and Canadian society. As you browse through the pages of this website, you will discover that AL-FAUZ Institute is geared towards providing the most authentic, balanced and relevant Islamic knowledge to our young scholars, who will one day take on the responsibilities of leadership of the Ummah.

AL-FAUZ is a comprehensive effort that encompasses educating, learning, practicing and implementing Islamic values to revive the intellect, sprit and social structure of our community. There was a great need for such institute that encompass all these dimensions.

And as we start this journey, we have taken every care in the design of this Institute to put you, the young scholars, at the centre of our attention.  We will ensure, Insha Allah Ta'ala that you find AL-FAUZ Institute to be a vehicle for broadening your horizons and preparing you for an active role in the communities you live in, both the Muslim community and the community at large.

Without Allah’s mercy, His blessing and inspiration, AL-FAUZ would not be possible. With genuine and heartfelt humility, we acknowledge His help and thank Him in the true spirit of Islam. With all of our hearts, we thank Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala), for surely He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
