Al-Fauz Institute of Islamic Thought was started in 2009 under the patronage of Dr. Iqbal Masood Al-Nadvi and Sh. M Zahid Abu ghuddan to provide an avenue for the dissemination of Islamic thought and Islamic sciences to the general public.  Al-Fauz Institute takes an activist's approach to Islamic education: where knowledge must be directly linked to activism geared towards the upliftment of the community.  The Institute seeks to provide well-balanced Islamic education that is rooted in Islam's rich tradition and is anchored by the reality of our present situation in Canada and around the world.

Al-Fauz's objective is to prepare young minds that will take up the mantle of leadership of the Muslim community within the next decade.  These young leaders will be equally well-versed in the Islamic tradition and the modern sciences, enabling them to revive the intellect, spirit and social structures of our communities.

To ensure maximum interaction between the teachers and the students, Al-Fauz Institute will hold most of its classes on a weekly basis at Masajid across the GTA.  Occasionally, we will also organize Single Weekend Intensive Courses with visiting faculty to augment the learning process.  Even with that, the local teachers and shyookh will remain available to ensure that the students gain the maximum possible benefit from these intensive courses.

Our first Single Weekend Intensive Course will be held in Toronto from July 24 to 27, while the weekly classes are expected to start after Ramadan 2009, insha Allah.
